I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in providing evidence-based individual psychotherapy. I currently provide telehealth treatment for patients in NJ, NY, and FL.

My Therapeutic Approach

With each patient, I start from a place of genuine compassion and empathic attunement, and then I look to a variety of therapeutic perspectives to help individualize treatment for each patient.

I have been lucky to receive training in numerous treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Emotion Focused Therapy. I integrate these perspectives to create a warm, accepting therapeutic style that is informed by clinical science, and I also emphasize the unique personal values, identities, and cultural backgrounds of each client with whom I work.

My Background

I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, a Master’s in Psychology from Villanova University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. I participated in clinical training in hospitals and clinics throughout New York City, including a Predoctoral Internship at Northwell Health and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at VA NY Harbor, Manhattan Campus. After my training, I served as a Staff Psychologist at VA NY Harbor, where I provided evidence-based individual and couples therapy to military veterans and their families. I’m currently providing care at NYU’s Military Family Clinic, and I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU’s School of Medicine. Through this role, I also supervise psychology externs, psychology postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents in CBT and short-term psychotherapy.

My Areas of Specialization

  • I provide evidence-based care for a variety of mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety.

  • I have specialized training in supporting patients through the perinatal period, including trying to conceive, receiving fertility treatments, pregnancy, and postpartum. I also work with patients around decision-making about whether they want to have children or not.

  • I have extensive experience in working with patients going through grief and loss, whether it be loss of a pregnancy or loss of a spouse or parent.

  • Due to my work at the VA and NYU’s Military Family Center, I am skilled at working with military veterans and their family members.

  • I often work with individual patients who are facing relationship concerns with partners or other attachment figures.
